Nestled in the hills about 30 minutes north of San Antonio, with great expanding views, this project involved a major opening of the existing structure to those views as well as extending the house proper to the south in order to transform an object into a place. The house redesign has significantly moved the existing house's center of gravity to the areas around the pool, new kitchen and dining, and a generous game room. Pool and deck design with specific grouping of spaces and functions around it and with great views, creates a gathering place for the entire extended family to be together and with something to do, as well as enjoy transitioning from inside to outside and back with ease and convenience.
